In 2017, Chaco Meat Co. received a Good Calf Commendation for their higher welfare policy for the veal that goes into their TORELLO Rosé Veal brand. In 2021, the company extended its operation by launching its Torello Milk & Grain and Pure Valley Black brands, which are produced according to the same higher welfare rearing and finishing system awarded under their 2017 Good Calf Commendation. This move will positively impact an additional 30,000 calves per year for which they have received a Good Calf Award in 2021.
