The Groups engagement ranges from projects under its own sustainability label PRO PLANET such as stopping the practice of beak clipping to co-founding the “Initative Tierwohl” together with other retailers. REWE Group only sells cage-free fresh eggs. From 1st July 2016, REWE Group sold only cage-free fresh rabbit meat. For these commitments, REWE Group will receive the Good Egg Award as well as the Good Rabbit Commendation.
